Call for Papers The 7th International Conference on Innovative Mobile and Internet Services in Ubiquitous Computing (IMIS-2013) http://voyager.ce.fit.ac.jp/conf/imis/2013/ In conjunction with CISIS-2013 International Conference http://voyager.ce.fit.ac.jp/conf/cisis/2013/ July 3-5, 2013 Asia University, Taichung, Taiwan Technically Supported by Taiwan ACM SIGMOBILE Chapter ========================== Important Dates ========================== Submission Deadline: January 31, 2013 (Extended) Authors Notification: March 15, 2013 Author Registration: April 5, 2013 Final Manuscript: April 5, 2013 Conference Dates: July 3-5, 2013 ========================== OVERVIEW ========================= With the proliferation of wireless technologies and electronic devices, there is a fast growing interest in Ubiquitous and Pervasive Computing (UPC). UPC enables to create a human-oriented computing environment where computer chips are embedded in everyday objects and interact with physical world. Through UPC, people can get online even while moving around, thus having almost permanent access to their preferred services. With a great potential to revolutionize our lives, UPC also poses new research challenges. IMIS International Conference will focus on the challenges and solutions for UPC with an emphasis on innovative, mobile and internet services. The conference will provide an opportunity for academic and industry professionals to discuss the latest issues and progress in the area of UPC. The conference will publish high quality papers, which are closely related to the various theories and practical applications in UPC. In addition, we expect that the conference and its publications will be a trigger for further related research and technology improvements in this important subject. Topics (included, but are not limited to): -Theoretical foundations for UPC -Algorithmic paradigms, models and analysis for UPC -Context-aware scheme -Smart spaces and intelligent environments -Embedded systems and wearable computers -Middleware and agent technologies -Programming paradigms for pervasive and ubiquitous computing applications -Knowledge-based Systems -Mobile Internet and mobility management -Wireless sensors, ad-hoc and mesh networks -Security issues and protocols -Security threats and model -Authentication and Access control -Privacy and trust -Ubiquitous Computing Applications -Business model and protocols for ubiquitous services -Emerging standards and technologies ========================== PAPER SUBMISSION GUIDELINE ========================== Submit a full paper not more than eight pages (Proceedings Manuscripts: two columns, single-spaced), including figures and references, using 10 font size, and number each page. You can find instructions for authors how to format the manuscript at the following web page: http://www.computer.org/portal/site/cscps/ Prepare your paper in PDF file (Adobe format), and submit it electronically to the online submission system. http://edas.info/N13279 Accepted papers will be given guidelines in preparing and submitting the final manuscript(s) together with the notification of acceptance. Proceedings of the IMIS-2013 will be published by Conference Publishing Service (CPS). Presented papers at IMIS-2013 will be considered for publication in several Special Issues in International Journals. ================================ IMIS-2013 ORGANIZING COMMITTEE ================================ General Co-Chairs Ilsun You, Korean Bible University, Korea Leonard Barolli, Fukuoka Institute of Technology, Japan Fatos Xhafa, Technical University of Catalonia, Spain Program Committee Co-Chairs Jong-Hyouk Lee, TELECOM Bretagne, France Fang-Yie Leu, Tunghai University, Taiwan Kangbin Yim, Soonchunhyang University, Korea Hsing-Chung Chen, Asia University, Taiwan Workshops Co-Chairs Hae-Duck Joshua Jeong, Korean Bible University, Korea Yung-Fa Huang, Chaoyang University of Technology, Taiwan Aniello Castiglione, University of Salerno, Italy Jyh-Horng Wen, Tunghai University, Taiwan Program Tracks 1.
